Cuba Libre – Seafood Paella

paella

International Drive – Orlando

Besides the theme parks, here in Florida, International Drive in Orlando has lots of restaurants to choose from. In fact, Cuba Libre is one I  highly recommend.

As mentioned, I eat seafood occasionally. This seafood paella is one of the best I have ever tasted. Interestingly, I wanted to try the seafood paella and also the grilled vegetables paella.  So, I asked the server and received a personalized dish which contained both ingredients. The ingredients in blue I omitted. Moreover, here are the  prices and ingredients from both:

The seafood paella costs $31.00. It includes Jumbo shrimp, littleneck clams, lobster, mussels, Mahi-Mahi fillet, squid, baby octopus. Saffron long grain rice. Roasted piquillo pepper salad.

The grilled vegetable paella costs $21.00. It includes broccoli, zucchini, cauliflower, leeks, eggplant, wild mushrooms, artichoke hearts, saffron long grain rice. Asparagus and roasted piquillo pepper salad.

No doubt, I give this dish 5 stars!

Spoletto – Vegetarian Foccacia (Flatbread)

Usually, mall foods are not that healthy however there are exceptions. If you are ever at the Florida Mall in Orlando visit Spoleto in the dining pavilion. Here you get to choose your own toppings or additions for your pasta, salad or flatbread. I am not a big pasta eater, nor did I feel for it so I decided to go with a flatbread as the basis, I tried both the salad and the pasta but have to say the flatbread is exceptional. Remember this is special order so you can choose any six toppings you would like to have, and there are chicken, shrimps, beef, and meatballs as well.

Here is my recommendation a vegetarian flatbread. I choose the flatbread and added a small amount of olive oil as the topping. My six toppings selection were: truffle mushrooms, zucchini, red onions, grated carrots, spinach, roasted red peppers and Italian cheese blend.

Les Chefs de France – Lasagna de legumes du soleil a huile d’olive au thyn

If you have visted any of the theme parks here in Florida, you may realize that there are not always a great selection of healthy food to choose from. On our last visit, we visted Epcot at Disney. We visited many of the featuring countries and was thrilled by the larger selection they offered in comparison to the smaller vendors.

My recommendation  Les Chefs de France

I had : lasagna de legumes du soleil a huile d’olive au thyn

Description: zucchini, eggplant, bell peppers, onions, and tomatoes baked into a thin layer of pasta.

Definitely 5 stars !! A must try!!!
