Houston: Texas – Salata

Located in The Galleria, this salad bar was an eye-catcher when I was walking by in the food court on the ground floor. I peeped in, looked at all they had, and was impressed by what I saw. This is where you choose your base, toppings, dressings, and protein. There are three different sizes regular, small, or as a wrap. I had the small, and there were about 20 different toppings I could choose from:

My base consisted of arugula, spinach, romaine, and spring mix. My toppings were radish, banana peppers, carrots, zucchini, olives, tomatoes, cabbage, walnuts, pumpkin seeds, and quinoa. There was a base price depending on the size. Then an upcharge for the protein, which also included the quinoa. Also, an order with a base of spinach and lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes, pasta, mixed seafood, and crab was added, including olive oil and balsamic dressing tossed in.

We both enjoyed our salads. For my dressings, I choose oil, vinegar, and balsamic vinegar on the side. It was very delicious. I love the idea and the setup. Everything was fresh. So if you are in the area, I would try them out,
