How to Make an Easy Everything Bagel

Making this bagel is incredibly easy as it only requires three simple ingredients.

This recipe is designed to be gluten-free and vegan, but it can be adapted for those without a gluten allergy or who are not vegan. Ditch the hassle of buying bagels from a store and make your own with this easy homemade recipe.

Easy Homemade Bagels

  • 1.5 cup Almond yoghurt
  • 1.5 cup Gluten free flour
  • 1 tsp Baking powder

Toppings

  • Everything bagel seasoning
  1. To start baking, preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and prepare a large baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.

  2. Place your Everything bagel seasoning on a plate.

  3. Place yogurt and flour into a sizable mixing bowl.

  4. To make the dough, blend the flour and yogurt together with a large spoon or spatula until it forms a crumbly texture. Then, use your hands to shape the mixture into a ball, even though it may be sticky.

  5. Simply add it to a stand mixer with a dough hook attachment.

  6. Ensure the dough is well-formed by kneading it until it separates completely from the sides of the mixer and forms a cohesive ball.

  7. Divide the dough into four equal balls.

  8. Start by rounding the dough into balls and then flattening them. Next, use your finger to create a hole in the middle of the bagel, and continue to move your finger around to widen the hole.

  9. To add some flavor to your bagels, coat them in Everything bagel seasoning on both sides.

  10. To ensure the bagels are fully cooked, please bake them for 20-25 minutes.

  11. Remove bagels from the oven and raise the oven temperature to 450 degrees Fahrenheit.

  12. To achieve the desired texture, it is recommended to return the bagels to the oven for 2-3 minutes.

  13. Once you take it out of the oven, allow it to cool for a few minutes before savoring its taste.

I opted for gluten-free flour, but in case you’re not vegan, you can use all-purpose flour (AP) and Greek yogurt instead. If you’re using gluten-free flour, it’s advisable to keep your hands moist since the dough can be sticky. In any case, I hope this tip helps!
