We all know that nuts and seeds are good for us. They provide us protein, minerals, vitamins, and good fats. This smoothie, like all my other smoothie recipes, have protein powder. However, that is optional. I used walnuts and almonds to make this nutty glass of deliciousness. I have a Vitamix so the nuts blended nicely. If your blender is not high powered, I suggest soaking the almonds for a few hours, the cashews should work fine without soaking. Here is a list of my favorite protein powders.

  1. Dee, I love your photos and this smoothie name is perfect! Thank you for such a great post! I’ll need to try this to get my nut and seed intake in! When I remember (which isn’t often) I put chia seeds in my yogurt but, I’ll definitely try this one!

    1. Just try remembering to add the seeds to things you eat more like yoghurt!
