Hawaii – Oahu- Honolulu – Ward Village

Our summer 2018 vacation began with seven days in Oahu, Hawaii.  With its capital being Honolulu.  I booked an Airbnb to cut some cost from our 28-day vacation. We had a prime location. Just a few minutes from Waikiki Beach and the Ala Moana Mall. While I like shopping, as a health and food blogger I love to eat good and HEALTHY food as much as possible.

During our hop on and off bus tour, we stopped in an area where there were lots of restaurants. Not too many had anything I wanted but there was this one place, in particular, Maile’s Thai.  We figured let’s give Thai food a try. I mentioned to the server I had a pork and soy allergy. Which is something I have to be very keen on doing? I ordered the spicy seafood combo (Pad Ped Mid). It consisted of a combination of tiger shrimps, and calamari sauteed in a sizzling wok, flavored with chili, garlic, onions, bell peppers, bamboo shoots, mushrooms, long beans and fresh basil. I also requested to have carrots added.

By doing that I would not eat any rice or noodles with my dish. This meal cost US$18.90. Well worth the cost. I rate this dish five stars for its exceptional taste, flavor and not forgetting presentation.
