What You Could See

On March 6, 2020, my family and I decided to do day trips for Jade’s spring break instead of going on a cruise or flying somewhere.

So we decided to go to Anna Marie Island. The drive from home was about 2hr 30 minutes. I felt like I was driving forever.

What was interesting we crossed several bridges.

Anna Marie Island definitely has that island vibes. Lots of locals walk or bikes along the sidewalks. One of the recommended places we went to was The Waterfront and I had to try the milkshake from Joe’s Eats & Sweets however it was a must because it was one suggested as one of the best ice cream parlors on the island.

What You Could Taste

My favorite part of my visit was what I had for a late lunch at The Waterfront. I had the grilled avocado & quinoa salad with blackened Mahi-Mahi.

Firstly the blackening season was delicious, there are not too many places that have a nice flavored blacked season. Their’s were perfect.

It consisted of black beans, spring mix, quinoa, grilled avocado, pico de gallo, tortilla strips, and cumin vinaigrette. I always ask for my dressing on the side so I decide how much to add. I also added a blackened Mahi so I am getting a complete meal.

This salad at $24.00 was a little on the expensive side but it was worth the price. It was very delicious. I give it 5 stars. Jade had blackened shrimps with fries and a side salad and she enjoyed hers as well.

We walked around a few, then headed back home. Overall I enjoyed the day trip. I am glad we visited. It took us more than three hours to get back home. However, it was worth the trip.
