My sweet girl and I went peach picking it was a great experience. We love visiting U-picks and we have been to several from vegetables, peaches, strawberries, and blueberries. But what do you do when you have so many peaches? Well, I like peaches, but She loves tea. So if I put them together then I can make this delicious drink that both of us will enjoy.
Ingredients
3 tea bags brewed in one cup water (Mullings Spices, Roobois or English Breakfast)
6 peaches juiced
3 cups of water
simple syrup or any other sweetener to taste (optional)
Directions
Combine tea, peach juice, water, and simple syrup to taste. This is one of the recipes that you control. Any black tea will work in this recipe. Those listed above are organic and my favorites. To make it sugar-free, omit the simple syrup.
Note: I usually juice peaches and strawberries and keep them in the refrigerator in a mason jar. That way, I can quickly make a Strawberry Lemonade or Peach tea.
A simple way to juice these soft fruits is by (pitting and peeling) then adding them to boiling water and then let sit for 15-30 minutes, then use a high-powered blender to mix.
Simple syrup
2 cups of organic cane sugar
1 cup of water
Bring the sugar and water to a boil then simmer until sugar is completely dissolved. Then remove from heat and store covered in an airtight gas jar for future use.
Enjoy, let me know what you think!
