There is no better way to know about the food you eat than to grow them yourself. I love having a garden. My favorite part is harvest time. While I don’t have a big yard or outdoor space, I grow hydroponically. If I can’t grow it and it is not available at our local farmer’s market but it’s listed as one of the Dirty Dozen I will purchase the organic version. Organic items are not cheap, but you probably know that by now! Having said that, some organic products are definitely not worth buying such as banana or pineapple. Nevertheless, I do recommend starting your own garden. It is so much healthier and cheaper. If you are short on space start by growing fresh herbs in a mason jar on your kitchen counter or you can purchase:
- Self-Watering Indoor Herb Garden Planter or
- AeroGarden Harvest with Gourmet Herb Seed Pod Kit However, if you do have space go all the way. Homegrown vegetables and fruits taste so much better than store-bought. Here are some of my favorite products I use in my indoor garden.
