Keep in mind not because you are eating a salad; it is healthy. Remember the quality of your salad mattersSome salads are bad. Why? Easy, the salad dressing.

So making your own salad dressing is always a better option, in fact making your own salad at home is even more beneficial.

Imagine a salad with healthy fats, nuts, and seeds….. that is what I am sharing with you today. 

Ingredients

2 Tbsp flaxseed

2 Tbsp lemon juice

2 Garlic cloves minced

2 Tbsp olive oil

1 Head Romaine lettuce, torn into bite-size pieces

1/4 Tsp sea salt

1 Tbsp nutritional yeast

1/4 Cup walnuts, chopped

2 mini bell pepper, diced (optional)

Directions

1. Combine first 4 ingredients in a large bowl and mix well.

2. Add the lettuce and toss until the leaves are well coated.

3. Sprinkle salt and nutritional yeast over the lettuce and toss again.

4. Add the walnuts and diced bell peppers (optional) and serve.

 

Note: I use all organic items.
